Don’t be so afraid to die that you forget to live.
. You’ve only got 24 hours, yet you’ve got a thousand and one things to do.
is even more of a challenge if you’re a home-based business owner exposed to the distractions at home. There’s the television and bed, errands to run for the family, and friends dropping by to chat. Even more so when you’re working solo and you’ve got kids.
The biggest difficulty, however, is when you’re a who needs to do most, if not all of the work, yourself. During the course of a day, you create your products or perform your services,, meet or chat on the phone with , package and, do on, put your bookkeeping entries for the day, and even file paperwork.
There are so many things to do with so little time. The only way you can be productive and get things done is to be efficient with the way you manage time.
Identify your most valuable activities. Make a list of what you do each day and how much time you dedicate on it. Then identify your most , or those that you do that are worth the most per hour, generate the most for the business, and would be most difficult to replace. If you are a , for example, your most valuable activities can include writing your and connecting with newsmakers in your industry. Once you’ve identified these activities, look at your schedule again and make sure that you allocate enough time to do the tasks and activities that bring you the most money.
Recognize that you will need a buffer sometimes. . There will be days when an unexpected development, emergency or distraction will come that will throw your schedule off balanced. It will push back your to-do list for the day, which can add to your frustration and stress. When deciding your schedule for the day, try to under schedule, instead of over scheduling your day. This will also allow you to have some extra time for yourself, or for some activities that you need to focus on that day.
. There are instances when may be acceptable, such as arranging files while waiting for a client to come or call. Generally, however, multitasking or the constant switching between tasks is not the most efficient way to get things done. Doing so cuts off your and , and a task that could be finished in an hour ends up being finished in two hours. When you are writing a report, for example, then starts responding to emails, you lose your and it may take a while before you can get back your focus. You end up wasting more time and becoming less efficient in the way you manage your time.
. Find the best way to do things based on the type of business you have and your personal preferences. One way would be to group together similar activities and allocate a block of time for tasks such as answering emails, making phone calls and meeting clients. For example, if you are a website designer, you can create your mockup designs in the morning, and then schedule meetings and videoconferencing with various clients in the afternoon. If you are an eBay seller, you can schedule scanning or photographing your items in the morning, writing your listings in the afternoon and posting them on eBay. By having a system in place, you are able to ensure that you have enough time for your most valuable activities while meeting the needs of your business.
There’s a peculiar thing that people do that separates them from ever becoming rich. This is such a common trait to have that most don’t even recognize it’s destruction. It comes as as watching TV after work to them. It comes as naturally as looking forward to clocking out when the clock hits 5′o’clock as surely everyone else does right? This 1 thing will prevent them from ever changing their financial situation. This blog is going to expose this 1 thing.
How you view the rich will if you are ever to become one of them? When you read a story about someone that is rich, do you immediately look for reasons to not like them? Do you declare to others that is was luck or that theirwas gained through some devious act or set of acts? If you on what negative you can find about a rich person, you will never become one.
Poor mindsets cannot fathom that simple hard work could make someone rich
Here are some sample statements thatstate that will keep them where they are:
“He/she’s just lucky”
“Oh sure, anyone could do that if they had his/her upbringing”
“Yeah, wonder what he/she did to get there though”
“I just think there’s more to life than just money”
The same people that make these statements would plop $49.97 down for a “” book. As long as you see negativity in those that are doing well, you will never do well financially. As long as you separate yourself from them, you will continue to create that gap. The can never believe that someone ACTUALLY deserves to be rich. That is incomprehensible to them. Now, subconsciously, this causes irreparable damage. Think about it, if someone despises the rich, will that ever compel them to become rich? For every excuse thecan generate, there has been a person worse off that has done better. There has been a person that has done more with less. But, the poor mindset again, simply cannot fathom that hard work can make someone rich. That is why the poor stay poor.
Understand that SOME people have worked very hard and deserve to be rich, however, it is a waste of energy and effort to spend time determining if they deserve it or not. If someone has something you desire and currently do not have, have gratitude for them, be thankful that someone is doing good. This is a great strategy if you currently don’t have a lot of things to be grateful forStudy them
Find out what they did to become rich…and do it. In every you will find they had , they just kept going. You won’t find an extraordinary amount of but you will find a certain . The attitude that they are going to succeed no matter what. The knowledge that poor mindsets around them will tell them they can’t do it, but they do it anyway.
“Successful people form the habit of doing what failures don’t like to do. They like the results they get by doing what they don’t necessarily enjoy. “
